The Board of Directors
Barry Kilby, Chairman
Barry initially joined the board of directors in October 1998 and was voted chairman at the company's Annual General Meeting two months later. In a 2-1 rights issue in January 1999, he invested £3 million in the club to become its largest single shareholder. Barry's business career has focused on the founding and building of the Europrint Group; the largest supplier of media games in the world.
Ray Ingleby, Vice Chairman
Joined in February 1999 and was elected as vice chairman following Barry Kilby's appointment as chairman. Ray's career in the advertising industry saw him form the Ingleby Communications Corporation, which was evolved into the New York based Caribiner Communications Inc. He continued to be chairman and chief executive of Caribiner International Inc. until he returned to the UK and diversified his business interests. He continues to have various business interests in the UK; his primary concern being Rushcliffe Properties.
Brendan Flood, Operational Director
Brendan is the newest member of the Burnley board, joining in December 2006 after an AGM resolution to remove the restriction on the number of directors. The Rossendale-born businessman, a lifelong supporter of the club, is a Manchester-based shopping centre owner and developer. Brendan, who has a background in banking, launched his own company, Modus Properties, in 1991 and rapid expansion has turned the company into a market leader in urban regeneration. As of May 2007, Brendan announced he would take a more hands-on approach to running the club along with chairman Barry Kilby. In July 2007, he announced a £20m plan to transform Turf Moor and Gawthorpe.
Clive Holt
Joined the board in August 1986, making him the longest serving member. Clive has overseen the radical redevelopment of Turf Moor into an all-seater stadium. Clive, an engineer by profession is the former Commercial Director of McLeod Russel Holdings plc, which has interests in all of the main European and Scandinavian countries.
John Turkington
Joined in August 1999. John is the chairman of Turkington Engineering Ltd, the company he founded nearly 30 years ago in the town. Now known as Turkington Industries, the company has since grown into a global success, with a turnover of £40 million.
Chris Duckworth
A local entrepreneur with a number of business interests who joined the Board in August 2000. Chris remains an important figure on the Board with his knowledge and experience.
Martin Hobbs
Joined the Board in April 2001. Originally from Scotland, Martin arrived in Burnley to set up his own footwear business, 'Martin Hobbs Footwear' and quickly became a passionate supporter of the Clarets.
John Sullivan
John joined the Board in April 2004. A local property developer and businessman, with a long standing interest in Burnley Football Club.
Ray Griffiths
Ray joined the Board in January 2005 after buying a considerable amount of shares following the sale of his 'Target' delivery company.
Mike Garlick
Mike joined the board in October 2006, filling the vacancy left by John Wilkinson's resignation. The Burnley-born entrepreneur is the managing director of MBA Ltd, a highly successful, London based IT consultancy, development and support business. MBA, which currently employs over 800 staff in eight offices in six countries across Europe, last year turned over around £65 million.
Dr David Iven, Club President (RIP)
David was been involved at Turf Moor for well over 60 years. Originally the club doctor, he since performed a variety of roles and served as a director and vice chairman before taking up the position of President. Dr Iven passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 29.
