Neil Grewcock

Winger Neil Grewcock was only 16-years-old and still an apprentice when he made his Football League debut for his home town club, Leicester City in 1979, but he would eventually go down as the scorer of one of the most important goals in Burnley's history in 1987.
He later moved on to Gillingham, but it was in the non-league with Kettering and Shepshed that he began to find form.
Grewcock signed for Burnley from Shepshed and was one of John Bond's first signings at Turf Moor.
Neil was short and stockily built and was perhaps an unlikely winger. However, when he was on top form, he was a formidable opponent as he jinked and twisted in the tightest of spaces before delivering his share of quality crosses.
He was a virtual ever present in his first three years at Turf Moor and in the 1986/87 season, he scored nine goals, the best return of his career and the last one of which will go down in Burnley folklore.
It was the opener against Orient in the last match of the season, which set the Clarets on the road to the most crucial victory in the club's history, as they avoided the drop out of League football.
The following season, Grewcock was on top form, as the momentum was maintained with the Clarets' run to Wembley in the Sherpa Van Trophy, but in the Northern semi final against Halifax at Turf Moor his season was brought to an end with injury.
After missing the rest of that season, he returned in a midfield position and helped the Club to the play-offs in 1991 before being released.
