Gaffer: Let's Go Out On A High
Owen Coyle believes there are plenty of positives to take from the season as the Clarets prepare for their final home of the campaign against Cardiff City on Saturday.
Last weekend's 1-0 win at Southampton saw Burnley ensure their best points return in six years.
And with Coyle's side also on target for their best finish in that time, the gaffer has called for two big performances from his team to see out the season in good form.
"We want to go out on a high by winning both games and rewarding our fans.
"We want to push ourselves up the league and accumulate as many points as we can," said Coyle.
"The supporters have been fantastic and very vocal getting behind the team.
"They have given us some tremendous backing and the players have responded to that.
"Statistically this year we are the 20th best supported team in the Championship, so there are obviously a lot bigger budgets out there than ours.
"We have already accumulated our best points total for six years so there are plenty of positives to take from this season and that's the way we aim to continue.
"We want to take that points total on and we have set ourselves targets to surpass.
"Now, we are just looking for two big performances."
Saturday's opponents Cardiff City have hit the headlines this season with their impressive exploits in the FA Cup.
A 1-0 win over Barnsley was enough to set up a final clash against Portsmouth in May - and Coyle believes the Bluebirds' incredible achievements are testament to the high quality in the Championship.
"The Cardiff players will be doing their upmost to make sure that they play in that FA Cup final.
"We know we are for in a tough game and they were very unfortunate to lose at Wolves in mid-week," insisted Coyle.
"All credit to Cardiff, they are a very good footballing side and it's a big boost for the Championship with them being in the final.
"It just shows the undoubted quality within the league and that's probably a compliment to ourselves too.
"So, if we can finish high up in the Championship it all bodes well for the future of the club."

Alex MacDonald could make his first team debut
Teenage striker Alex MacDonald, who has been training with the first team in recent weeks could well be involved in the squad this weekend.
And with Jay Rodriguez also making impressive progress on loan at Stirling Albion, Coyle admits this summer will be an important one for the youngsters as they look to establish themselves in the first-team frame.
"A few clubs have touched base with us about Jay and Alex, but the bottom line is two or three months in the summer will make a big difference to them," added Coyle.
"It will be a massive summer for them and I think they will come back bigger, stronger and with a real future at Burnley Football Club."
"I'm a great believer in giving young players an opportunity because you never know until you try them and get them in that match environment.
"It's important that supporters see young players coming through and in terms of young players in the Championship it doesn't come much better than Kyle Lafferty and Chris McCann, but we want to make sure that doesn't end there.
"We want to make sure there is a conveyor belt of young talent and we're working hard at grass roots level to identify good young prospects.
"We want to teach and develop them well, with the ultimate aim of them playing in the first team."
