Supporters Consultative Group
Burnley Football Club hope to improve relations and communication with the fans through a 'Supporters Consultative Group' (SCG).
A broad cross section of Clarets fans have been invited to join the group and the first official meeting of the SCG took place in January 2005, when topics such as season tickets and general matchday ticketing and packages were all discussed.
Through these regular meetings between supporters and senior club officials, it is hoped that there will be full and frank discussions over the club's policies and open and constructive criticism of them in order to improve the customer service and policies of Burnley FC.
The meetings will take place on a bi-monthly basis and are to revolve around the issues that affect supporters the most, with members also encouraged to raise any views or concerns that have been brought up by other supporters.
Speaking about the introduction of the SCG, Burnley FC chief executive Dave Edmundson said: "After talking to other clubs, and in particular Norwich City, we thought this was an ideal way to improve relations and communication between supporters and the club.
"With the Consultative Group in place, anything that the supporters may want to discuss can now be put to the club and we can work together to see that people are happy.
"We have tried to include a broad range of supporters in the group and their regular meetings with senior club officials and staff will hopefully lead to a productive and healthy relationship between fans and the club."
