Supporters Consultative Group - Constitution
Aims and Objectives
The aim of the group is to help improve communication between the club and its supporters and to encourage frank, open and constructive discussion of policies and supporter issues on a regular basis, especially those issues which affect supporters most.
The SCG provides a forum where supporter members meet with senior club officials with ideas, praise, criticisms or concerns they may have, covering activities both on and off the playing field.
Supporter members are encouraged to bring to the club's attention any meaningful views or concerns which are brought to their attention by other supporters.
SCG members may also help to provide experience and knowledge for assistance in such matters as:
Supporter roadshows
Open days
Club heritage
Catering Monitoring
Stadium issues
Ticketing and Pricing policy
Travel
Where appropriate, working groups or sub-committees will be formed to tackle specific issues. Membership of the SCG is voluntary and members receive no remuneration.
Composition
A broad church of members drawn from all areas, sections and associations of Turf Moor and Burnley FC.
The Group will not exceed 20 and a have a minimum of 12 supporter members, including a representative from the Clarets Trust and two from supporters groups, via election.
Each meeting will also be attended by at least one member of the club's senior management team. Other members of staff, including Burnley Football Club directors, may also be invited to attend meetings when appropriate.
The names of all SCG members will be listed on the club's official web site, along with this constitution, which will also appear periodically in the matchday programme.

Recruitment of New Members
Membership of the SCG is by invitation of the club or via elections through Supporters Club meetings. When an existing supporter SCG member leaves the group for whatever reason, replacements will be invited by the club to join as a replacement.
All vacancies will be advertised through the club media to supporters and interested parties will be invited to apply in writing. Where practicable all applicants will be interviewed by an SCG appointments sub-committee set up for this purpose.
The sub-committee will include at least one BFC staff, two SCG members and one supporter's club SCG member. Staff shall never outnumber supporter members on the appointments sub-committee.
The number of BFC staff on the SCG shall never outnumber supporter members.
Meetings
The SCG will meet bi-monthly, usually at Turf Moor, although the group may agree to meetings at other locations. Members will be asked to surrender their membership for unexplained and repeated absenteeism.
Agendas
Agendas for meetings will be sent out by the club in the weeks leading up to an SCG meeting. The last three agendas will also be displayed on the website.
Minutes of Meetings
Each SCG member will receive a summarised report following each meeting. An abridged report, excluding any sensitive information not yet in the public domain when applicable, will also be publicised on the official website.
Confidentiality
In order to facilitate frank and constructive discussion, the club will often share sensitive information with SCG members, which is not yet in the public domain. All members are expected to respect this confidentiality.
