Wade has recently signed a three-year-deal at Turf Moor which is great news for Burnley fans as the midfielder continues to improve on his performances each season.
With pace, skill and creative play in his locker, he can also boast being in the top two of assist in the Championship just behind Stoke City's Liam Lawrence.
The former Bournemouth winger received a hat-trick of awards at Burnley FC's awards ceremony in April 2008. He landed the Player of the Year award for the second season running. He also received the Players' Player of the Year and Goal of the season for his strike in the clarets victory over Charlton Athletic in March 2008.
Wade has high hopes for the new season after holding the distinction of the club's official Player of the Year.
The former Bournemouth winger put in a series of excellent displays on the right wing during the 2006/07 campaign and four goals, including three in his last eight games, were just rewards for an ever-improving player.
Elliott became Burnley's joint first signing of the close season of 2005 when he agreed to make the switch to Turf Moor from AFC Bournemouth.
The pacy and skilful winger had first come to the knowledge of many Clarets fans thanks to his impressive performance at Turf Moor for the Cherries in an FA Cup tie in January 2005.
Manager Steve Cotterill publicly praised his performance that day and kept tabs on the player over the following months.
And when Bournemouth narrowly missed out on a place in the League One play-offs later that season, he was quick to make an offer to the player, whose contract at Dean Court was due to expire in the summer.
With the ambition to play at a higher level, Elliott readily agreed a three-year deal at Turf Moor and along with his Cherries team mate Garreth O'Connor, made the choice to move north.
The Southampton born star, a former England schoolboy international, began his career in non-league with Bashley and it was there that he came to the attention of several League clubs thanks to his lively performances.
Bournemouth won the race to sign him for a small fee of just £5000 in the summer of 2000 and he became an instantly popular player with the fans at Dean Court thanks to his positive displays.
Belying his lack of League experience, Wade was named as Bournemouth's player-of-the-season in his first season at the club and went on to keep the title over the following years he spent in Dorset.
He had five seasons with the south coast club and during that time he became a thoroughly popular figure with the fans and staff at Dean Court and there was widespread dismay amongst them when it was revealed he had chosen to join Burnley.
