The Hungarian keeper has been battling with Brian Jensen for the number 1 jersey Burnley throughout the 2007/08 season.
Gabor has played most of the season in goal for the clarets including the FA Cup tie with Arsenal at Turf Moor in January 2008. However, after a run of poor results Jensen was the preferred choice in goal over the former Crystal Palace keeper.
In May 2008 Owen Coyle confirmed he would listen to offers for Kiraly, admitting he could leave the club should the right opportunity arise.
Former boss Steve Cotterill made the Hungarian international goalkeeper his first summer signing at Burnley ahead of the 2007/08 season.
Free transfer Kiraly, 31, joined the Clarets on an initial two-year deal following three years with Crystal Palace, where he made 111 appearances.
Under the terms of the agreement, Burnley Football Club have an option to sign Kiraly for a third season.
Kiraly originally joined Palace from German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on a Bosman free transfer in the summer of 2004 following Palace's promotion to the Premiership, where his highlights in the top flight include a penalty save from Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.
The Hungarian stopper, who has earned around 70 caps for his country, earlier started his career in his homeland with Haladas, in the city of Szombathely.
He had been with the club since the age of five and eventually followed in his proud father's footsteps by playing for the family club, making 29 appearances in the second division ans a further 67 in the Hungarian top flight between 1993-1997.
But it was a 1997 move to Germany, where he made over 200 appearances for Hertha Berlin, where the 6ft 4in stopper finally forged a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the country.
