Remco Ready For Take Off
Burnley fans attending Saturday's friendly at Accrington Stanley may get a sneak preview of things to come.
The Clarets make the short trip to the Fraser Eagle Stadium for the now annual meeting with Stanley (kick off 3pm).
Remco van der Schaaf hopes to make his first appearance on English soil since joining the Clarets from Vitesse Arnhem as one of five summer signings.
The Dutchman has so far had just under 45 minutes of action in America, before a thigh problem has kept him sidelined.
And with fellow new signings Diego Penny, Christian Kalvenes, Kevin McDonald and two-goal Martin Paterson also hoping to play some part in proceedings, a bumper crowd is expected at Accrington.
Clarets boss Owen Coyle said: "Remco certainly won't play the 90 minutes, but he might get an hour, which is great.
"He has been working hard and when we brought him to the club he came with a tremendous pedigree, so it will be good to get him on the pitch again.
"You would imagine there will be a great number of fans there to see some of the players that will be introduced.

"Having said that it's only part of the preparation and we won't get too carried away.
"It's another stepping stone on the way to August 9 in terms of moving on the preparation."
This will be Burnley's sixth pre-season game, following the clashes with Cary RailHawks and Minnesota Thunder in America, and the trio of clashes in Scotland against Queen of the South, Partick Thistle and St Johnstone.
A flying visit to Northern Ireland for a special 125th anniversary march against Glentoran follows the Stanley clash, on Monday night, followed by Wednesday's trip to Bradford and the final pre-season game at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday, August 2.
And with fitness now in the tank, Coyle has hinted that those remaining games will see less 'tinkering' with systems and substitutions, and more emphasis on shape and the final line-up ahead of the big kick off at Hillsborough in just over a fortnight.

The gaffer explained: "We purposely designed all our games to be away from home, but Accrington has got a local angle to it and it will be competitive.
"We've not really been able to work on things day in and day out because we've been in and out of games.
"But now I think we can start formulating an ideas and the shape of the team and different things.
"We have messed around with a couple of systems here and there but now, with the couple of games coming up we can start to bed in what we are looking to do next season."
Supporters are reminded they can pay on the gate at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on Saturday. Admission is £10 adults and £5 concessions.
A full report will, of course, appear here at the final whistle. Please note that Clarets World will not be covering this game.
