Burnley boss Owen Coyle has ended the trial period of striker Gatis Kalnins.

The Latvian international featured against Partick Thistle and St Johnstone during the Clarets' tour of Scotland but will not be offered terms at Turf Moor.

Speaking about the decision Coyle said:

"We thank Gatis for his time but we will not be pursuing this any further.

"We would like to wish him all the best."
