Brian Jensen today put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at Turf Moor.

The popular Danish goalkeeper, 32, had verbally agreed the contract at the end of the 2007/08 campaign.

And Jensen, who originally joined the Clarets in 2003 following a spell at WBA, is now looking forward to the fresh challenges that lay ahead.

He said: "I was delighted to sign on for another two years.

"Being the longest serving player on Burnley's books is something I am extremely proud of and the club have always been good to me, so it was an easy decision to make.

"It is obvious there are going to be changes at the club this summer, but I am looking forward to the fresh challenges that lay ahead and I will give my all to hep the club achieve its ultimate dream of Premiership football."
