'Clarets Chronicles' Paying Dividends
The painstaking work of five authors is now paying rich dividends for Burnley Football Club.
The Clarets-supporting quintet, who combined to compile club bible 'The Clarets Chronicles', have so far raised a whopping £20,019 for youth development at Turf Moor.
And the first profits from the sought after book were handed over to club officials at the final home game of the season (pictured above right: Ray Simpson, Wallace Chadwick, Burnley FC Development Director Paul Fletcher, Phil Simpson).
Club historian Ray Simpson and close friend Wallace Chadwick, Burnley Express Group Sports Editor Edward Lee, sports journalist Phil Simpson and Burnley FC PR & Communications Manager Darren Bentley spent around 18 months completing the body of work, which is undoubtedly the most comprehensive study of the club ever undertaken.
