Burnley Football Club today received this kind e-mail from Crystal Palace fan Keith Dixon, following the final game of the season at Selhurst Park.

"I am a Palace fan and would like to say a big "thanks and well done" to the travelling fans that waited after the final whistle at Selhurst on Saturday and joined in with the lap of appreciation of our players.
"It was a refreshing sight to see away supporters staying behind and actively joining in with our celebrations and applauding our team.
"Football is slowly turning back to how it should be, with the stupidity of rival supporters on the day becoming a thing of the past.
"The lads we met in the pub before the match were also superb and your fans should be proud of the way that they conducted themselves on the back of what must have been a pretty disappointing day on the pitch. They were an excellent advert for your club and football in general.
"So, once again, thanks to all of you at Burnley. If we don't manage to escape through the play offs, I look forward to doing battle with you again next season - but in the kindest way possible, I do hope we don't meet for at least the next season!
"Best of luck for next season, lets hope to see you climbing higher next season as fans like yours deserve any success that may come their way."

Echoing Keith's comments, Burnley Football Club would like to thank all supporters who followed the team this season, home and away.
Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you again in August.
