100-calorie snack packs will make you fat

The hot new trend in the food industry is for people to buy 100-calorie snack packs of their favorite chips, cookies and crackers in an effort to slim down. But do they help? San Jose nutritionist Dr. Marjorie Freedman that reducing caloric intake is important and that if people cannot control the amount they eat in a large package, then the snack packs can be a benefit but they do cost 3 times the amount of the large packages. She also said that said people are better off spending their 100 calories on much cheaper and more nutritional fruit but if they do eat the snack packs, Fig Newtons, Wheat Thins and Goldfish are the best.
