Ground Plans: Exclusive Hi-Res Pictures
Revamped plans went on display on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 for the new £30million redevelopment of Turf Moor (and Gawthorpe).
The 'Burnley Business and Sporting Village' promises to transform the stadium and its surroundings and help regenerate the area.
As such, it was only right that local residents had the first opportunity to see the revised plans, which as well as a revolutionary new stand now include an exhibition centre, a new retail store, increased office space and a new-look for the adjoining cricket club.
But naturally, it was the new-look Turf Moor that many supporters were eager to get a glimpse of.
The planning application for phase one of the development, which encompasses a new quadrant within the stadium's boundary to provide players' dressing rooms and hospitality block between the Jimmy McIlroy and James Hargreaves Stands, will be submitted to Burnley Council within the next month.

Phase two consists of two separate applications, including the £2.5m development of a football academy at the Gawthorpe training ground in Padiham.
The second application also surrounds a revolutionary new stand to replace the David Fishwick (Cricket Field) Stand.
This 'auditorium-style' stand would incorporate a canopy, which drops from the roof of the new stand and locks into place at ground level to form an indoor arena that can host such events as conferences and away match feedbacks on a giant screen.
The stand will also house a hotel and restaurant complex, business and exhibition centre, health and fitness provision, auditorium, banqueting rooms and a new club shop and ticketing facility.
These plans are set to be submitted in May.

Work will hopefully begin on site in summer 2008 for phase one and between 12 to 15 months forward for phase two, with a target set for the end of 2010 for completion of the entire development.
Burnley FC Development Director Paul Fletcher, who recently rejoined the Clarets to help oversee the three-year plans, said: "This is a very exciting project and a massive development which will have a big impact on Burnley Football Club.
"It will bode well for the future because when you build stadiums you ideally look to give them a 50-year life span.
"We need to implement it for other purposes and make it usable for members of the community and we will listen to their concerns and take them on board at every stage."
